Establishment
The Dr. Dada Vaidya College of Education, Ponda-Goa, was established in 1993 in response to the growing demand for teacher education. It is committed to the professional development of pre-service and in-service teachers. The Department of Extension Services was started in 1995 and it collaborates with state and national level organizations for conducting various programmes. The Study Center (0806P) of Indira Gandhi National Open University’s B.Ed. programme through the distance mode for In-service teachers was established in October 2002. The Pre-Primary Teacher Education Course began in 2005.
