Guwahati Academy of Tertiary Education (GATE), located in Guwahati, in Assam, is a self-financing co-educational institute. The college was founded in 2006 as a college of Management and Information Technology, to provide qualitative professional education for the students, living in and around Guwahati. GATE Institute was affiliated to Dibrugarh University in 2008 and later in 2009, the college obtained affiliation to Krishna Kanta Handique State Open University (KKHSOU) .The college is recognized by the Government of Assam and has national tie-ups with Indian Institute of Hardware Technology (IIHT), Bangalore. further, the college is also affiliated to Sikkim Manipal University and Pantaloon (I) Ltd., Mumbai. Extended over a sprawling campus, GATE Institute conducts undergraduate and post graduate programs like BBA, BCA, B Sc (IT), PGDCA, and PGDTM (Post Graduate Diploma in Tourism Management).
