North Lakhimpur College, located in Lakhimpur district of Assam, is an aided co-educational institute. The college was established in 1952 to facilitate qualitative higher education for the students residing in and around Lakhimpur. North Lakhimpur College is affiliated to Dibrugarh University and recognized by the State Govt. of Assam. UGC conferred this college as College with Potential for Excellence (CPE) in 2010, for its immense contribution towards education. The college offers several undergraduate courses in Arts and Science faculties. Besides, the college conducts higher secondary courses in these Arts and Science subjects, along with an add-on certificate course in Herbal (Medicinal) Plantation. The college also runs professional courses like Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) on self-financing mode and B Sc Diploma in Plant Tissue Culture and Micropropagation, sponsored by the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India
