Loknayak Jai Prakash Institute of Technology is spread in more than 40 acres of land LNJPIT Chapra is 7th government Engineering College in the state under the Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of Bihar. The plan is to make it a state of the art technology center and research hub. The first session (2012-16) had been commenced from 08/09/2012 with an intake of 240 students in four streams of engineering viz. Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics, and Computer science and Engineering. The classes of ( 2014-18) (3rd Session) is going on in all four steams of Engineering.
