Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology (RIT) is located at Kottayam, Kerala. Also known as RIT Kottayam, it was set up in 1991. It is one of the leading technical institutes in the state of Kerala. Affiliated to the Mahatma Gandhi University, the institute conducts several B Tech and M Tech courses. RIT Kottayam, which has vast campus and infrastructure, is owned and managed by the state government of Kerala. Courses conducted by the college have the approval of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
