Panchanan Jena Memorial Trust came into existence by a group of young and dedicated people to make the vision of Late. Panchanan Jena a reality. The vision was to take education to every child of Orissa. A small group of young and determined people did not give up, which was a Herculean task initially. Their perseverance and hard work motivated the local people and they gathered unqualified support from the people of 30 villages around the Bhubaneswar city. Over the passage of time the informal team became a trust, with the encouragement of local people. After gaining momentum to set up an organization, Panchanan Memorial Trust became a legal body in the year 2004. It was registered under societies trust act bearing No. 874 in the year 2004.
The members of the trust are moving ahead with all dedication and commitment with the able stewardship of its chairman Sri Pratap Chandra Jena. The focused attention and hard work of the chairman have been instrumental in making PJ Group of Educational Institutions, which have become a leading name for providing quality education in management & technology in eastern India.
VISION : Panchanan Jena Memorial Trust envisions a society full of joy and vivacity where the poorest of the poor student will be assured of the bare necessities for survival and a society without any discrimination on ground of caste, class, race, region or religion.
MISSION : To work for the all round development of the students so that the students can take care of themselves without waiting for outside intervention and can demand their rights which are due to them.

PJ JUNIOR COLLEGE
The first initiative of Panchanan Jena Memorial Trust saw its light on 23rd Sept. 2004 in the shape of Panchanan Jena College. The objective was to instill refined outlook, dedication and discipline in the students for knowledge.
The college is affiliated to the Council of Higher Education, Orissa. Besides education, the college endeavors to imbibe the basic elements of our culture in students. Students are introduced to our rich heritage for dissemination of knowledge, which is the base of the Indian culture. The focused academic and co-curricular activities are systematically planned to develop an atmosphere for education. This atmosphere has been further enriched with the provision of various sports and games. Students are encouraged to participate in these activities twice a year, to keep them fit in body and mind.
Along with the CHSE Certificate a successful student gets two more certificates from reputed organizations working in collaboration with PJ Group of Institutions, one on computer proficiency and another on spoken English.

REGIONAL COLLEGE AND BIO-ENGINEERING & MANAGEMENT (RCBEM)
Though all the preparatory works were over to setup Regional College of Bio-Engineering & Management in the 2004, it started functioning in June 2005. The objective was to educate the community and bring empowerment to the population who are neglected, secluded & exploited. The purpose was to make them agents of change. The task was to bring privilege to the unprivileged sections of the rural sector.
The Regional College of Bio-Engineering & Management (REBEM) has subsequently been merged with PJ College of Management & Technology (PJCMT).
