It is a 500 bedded government medical college hospital in tribal dominated Raigarh district of Chhattisgarh, bordering Orissa, which is the fourth one in the state.
Raigarh is one of the ancient city of chhattisgarh which has been developing very fast because of the so many industries such as iron,textiles and other. Jute Mill of Raigarh was the first jute mill in the state of Chhattisgarh and one of the well known in India. From the last decade Raigarh has changed a lot in infrastructure,government offices and education. Earlier it was having 2 engineering colleges ,Nursing colleges ,Bridges ,Schools and many more except a medical college but now it has its own medical college which has already started and the new adjoining Hosptital is under construction and soon it will complete. Raigarh Medical college is situated at a very calm place near to Orissa border in a village called majhapara.The college has its own Hospital, Laboratory, Hostel playground etc.
