MVGR College of Engineering evolved from the need for a excellent technical school in the North Coastal Districts of Andhra Pradesh. The founders, some of the best minds from the Economical & Social worlds, anticipated the technical needs of the emerging North Coastal Andhra Pradesh. They recognised that the rapidly changing technological landscape would require young technocrats who not only have an understanding of the developing economies but who also present a global perspective. The MVGR is committed to creating such Engineers through its innovative programmes, outstanding faculty and thought leadership. Funded entirely by trust “MANSAS”, which believes in its vision, the MVGR is a not-for-profit organisation.

Infrastructure
The college has state-of-the-art 83 Labs which host equipment costing more than Rs 10 Crore. The college is spread on a lush green 60 Acre campus and has more than 5 lakh sft built up area. The college boasts of its library extended over 12000 sft area adorning an enviable collection of books around 50,000 volumes and 12,000 titles along with a huge number of National and International Journals of various disciplines. It has also extended the facilities of Digital Library with access to journals and video tutorials of IEEE, Springer (EEE and MECH), ASCE, ASTM, ELSEVIER, JGATE, IUCEE, NITTTR, NPTEL, Mc Graw Hill etc, and 1089 computers along with 45 MBPS leased line internet.
Team
Faculty is the biggest strength of the college. It has engaged 240+ full time committed teaching staff with most of them having highest academic qualification in their respective fields with more than 58+ PhD holders to cater the needs of UG and PG students. Faculty members guide the students to harness their complete academic potential. The college regularly invites eminent professionals from industry and academia to share practical experience with the students and staff. They are well versed with the methods of outcome based teaching learning process.
