M S Ramaiah Institute of Technology was started by Sri M.S. Ramaiah. It was founded in 1962 under the Gokula Education Foundation. It offers courses approved by All India Council for Technical Education, AICTE, New Delhi. The college is affiliated to Visveswaraiah Technological University, Belgaum. M S Ramaiah Institute of Technology conducts undergraduate and postgraduate level programmes in the field of engineering - Bachelor of Technology (B Tech) and Master of Technology (M Tech). Apart from these courses, the institute also imparts PG level courses in the field of management (MBA) and computer applications (MCA).
