BLDEAs College of Engineering and Technology, located in Bijapur, Karnataka, is one of the renowned institutes of BLDEA (Bijapur Liberal District Education Association) Society, which runs several institutes in various fields. The college is also known as Dr. PG Halakatti College of Engineering & Technology, Bijapur.
Affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum, the institute is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, and accredited by Council of Architecture.
BLDEAs College of Engineering and Technology was incepted in 1980, by enrolling students to three courses, namely, Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.
The college was rechristened to Dr. PG Halakatti College of Engineering & Technology in 1995. Since then, it is offered undergraduate level programmes in the field of engineering - Bachelor of Technology (B Tech). BLDEAs College of Engineering and Technology provides ample basic amenities within its sprawling campus.
