The Food craft Institute , Kannur is sponsored by the Government of India and Government of Kerala, to give training to the more promising men and women for the Catering Industry.With urbanization and industrialization, catering establishments are increasing in large numbers. The development of adequate feeding the large and increasing number of workers engaged in the industrial production pose a special challenge of considerable importance. A variety of teaching and learning techniques are employed to impart knowledge and skills to students at Food craft Institute, Kannur in its various departments.At present the Institutes offer Certificate course have been designed with a stress on practical training.
