Our college vision Empowering through Education is inclusive of everything education has to deliver. The empowerment of every student in the real sense should not only be in terms of degrees but also in terms of skills and abilities acquired. The real job lies in the hands of teachers and education institutions to go out of traditional classes and empower them to be creative thinkers, teachers, leaders, critical analysts and change agents. This will be real contribution to the society. A small contribution from all will make a big difference to the whole. They are the only hope for a strong India of the future. There is a need for an all inclusive society. We must capitalize on the dynamism that pervades our youth. Major revolution in the field of education is what is required for our huge population to have a nation of educated, skilled and creative people.
Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru says, Law and constitution do not by themselves make a country great. It is enthusiasm energy and constant effort by people that make great nations. The academia needs to plan programmes imparting extra competence to transform the students into entrepreneurs. We need to become employment creators and not employment seekers and we need to have more skill development centres.
The college has international linkage with Global Gymnasiet College, Sweden and together we are working on a project Mumbai-Stockholm Water Partnership. A team of 20 students and 2 teachers from Sweden visited M. D. College for 10 days for the same research activity. Similarly 15 students of M. D. College with 3 teachers visited Sweden for a research on "Waste Disposal Management System in Sweden.
Internatinal linkage is one more milestone achieved in the history of M. D. College. The college also has a linkage with NGO Academy of Earth Sustainability for creating environment awareness among students.
The university Academic Audit of the college was sucessfully completed. The whole team of M. D. College put the best foot forward with all its strength at all the events of the college. As Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam says, Climbing to the top demands strenght, whether it is to the top of Mount Everest or to the top of your career.
