K. J. Somaiya College of Arts & Commerce is the premier institution of Somaiya Group of Institutions imparting value education with academic excellence. It gives me immense pleasure to state that autonomy has been conferred on this institution from academic year 2013-14. The College still remains affiliated to the University of Mumbai and it has been given freedom to design and adopt innovative methods of teaching and evaluation.

It must foster and promote the precious wealth of moral strength and spiritual victory and purify the inner impulses of mankind. The modern education system develops the intellect and skills but does little to develop the values, character being the most important of all.
