JCDM College of Pharmacy is a part of JCD Vidyapeeth, a lush green, beautiful campus, spread over 173 acres of land in the heart of Sirsa district, established in 2002 by Ch. Devi Lal Memorial Trust has rapidly emerged as an excellent centre in providing Pharmaceutical education in Northern India. The college offers B.Pharmacy and M.Pharmacy (Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Chemistry) courses duly approved by AICTE and PCI, New Delhi and affiliated to Pt. B.D. Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak. The college has an excellent infrastructure, experienced faculty, well equipped with Pharmaceutics, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmacognosy, Pharmacology Laboratories, research labs and other facilities like Medicinal Garden, Animal House, and Museum etc. The major thrust areas of research activities being carried out in the college include nanotechnology drug delivery, molecular modeling and medicinal chemistry, phtochemistry.
The Pharmacy programs at JCDMCOP are grounded in continuous quality improvement with greater emphasis on the integration of a strong science foundation with the professional skills required for successful pharmacy practice. The college utilizes a number of teaching methods and learning techniques to better allow students to take ownership of their education. In addition to the examples listed above, active learning is also emphasized through the use of the student response system, laboratory exercises, reflective writing, and the introduction of e-portfolios.
