This Govt. Medical College Latur was started in 26.4. 2002. It is situated in south central part of Maharashtra. Karnataka and Andhra state border stars at 70 km from this place. The college is affiliated to MUHS, Nashik. First batch of 100 MBBS students was admitted in July 2003.Admission are made through CET / NEET (85% from state CET and 15% from All India PMT).
About Latur
Later in the 19th century it became part of the independent princely state of Hyderabad. In 1905 it was merged with surrounding areas and renamed Latur tehsil, and became part of Osmanabad district.
