The Computer Science and Engineering and Information Technology departments is headed by Mr. Mehtab Alam, Associate Professor, who is having almost 18 years of teaching and corporate experience. He has a number of papers published in international journals including IEEE. He has authored books on Information security and cryptography and computer graphics. The Department has four well-equipped computer lab with 350 branded computers. The computer lab is kept open for 12 hours in the day, and plans are afoot to keep it open for 24 hours. All computers are interconnected on LAN, which in turn gets connected to internet. The college has installed its own intranet with high speed servers, on which class notes are available for access of students/parents as and when required. We have number of licensed software packages for conduct of various computer subjects and also for project required by course curriculum.
Our college has a high speed 2 mbps internet available for 24x7 days for all students. The internet is provided via RF link as well as FO link, and does not require a dial-up connection.
Department is engaged in churning out computer engineers who will be part of skilled human resources of India. To cater to the needs of students, computer labs remain open from 09:00 am to 09:00 pm. The second batch of B.Tech. CS & IT branch is going to pass this year and most of the students are well placed in some good software industries.
