The purpose of the department is to impart high quality graduate education. Our students graduate with an impressive array of practical problem-solving skills which makes them highly attractive to employers.
The Computer Science and Engineering department provides extensive computing resources for education. This includes more than 500 high-performance Unix / Linux and Windows- based workstations. In addition to general- purpose file, e-mail, web etc. separate servers and one separate high-performance server is available for college automation. Students have direct access to a state-of-the-art high-performance visualization laboratories. Department network communications include a strong Ethernet backbone, offering connectivity to the Internet through 10 MBPS leased line from the BSNL. The department supports specialized equipment for individual research efforts, security, mobile systems and distributed computing.
All labs are equipped with P-IV Computer Systems and five powerful Servers in different environment like Linux, Windows NT etc.The students develop their skills using ORACLE, .Net, MS SQL Server, Java & Internet tools apart from traditional packages like C / C++, FORTRAN, DOS, MS-OFFICE etc
