Department of Basic Science

The Department has been playing a vital role in producing engineers and technologists of highest caliber. The department has expertise in the areas of MEMS, Digital Signal Processing, VLSI, Nano-electronics and Nano-sciences, Digital Image processing, optical Communication and Robotics, Embedded System, VLSI, Microcontroller, Microprocessor, Microwave Engg, Control Systems, Analog Communication, Digital Electronics etc. The department has well versed laboratories housing various modern equipment to enable the students to keep pace with the fast developing technology.

Main Objectives are

• To inform and motivate students to study the fundamental aspects of science and its applications
• To teach English Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for U.G programme
• To enable the students to analyze and apply mathematical and scientific techniques in engineering technology
• To encourage students to pursue careers in science and engineering
