Assessment
The MBA (Healthcare Management) program would follow the trimester pattern and would require six terms of study for completion.
The first year of study aims at laying a strong foundation in marketing, finance, human resources and operations as applied to healthcare settings, making effective use of case studies from the healthcare sector.
The end term examination would carry a weight of 40%.
The continuous assessment would carry a weight of 60% and consist of a mix of components (such as assignments, case presentations, quizzes, group presentations etc.) with no single component carrying weight of more than 15%.
Appearing in the term-end examination is mandatory for completing in the course.
Participants shall be awarded letter grade (A+, A, B, C, D, E and F) in each course on ten point scale, based on their performance.
A student who has not attended 75% of the classes held in a subject will not be allowed to appear for the end-term examination (which is mandatory for course completion) in that subject.
A student would be deemed to have earned the credit assigned to a course if he/she passes the course with at least an E grade.
To be promoted from the first year to the second, a student needs to earn at least 50 credits.
To be eligible for the award of MBA degree a student needs to earn 105 credits.

Eligibility
Duration: 2 years
Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University with aggregate marks of 50% and above.
There is no requirement of submitting a management test score
Citizenship:
Admissions are effected under two categories: General and Foreign/NRI. All Indian nationals are eligible to apply under the general category while the Foreign/NRI category is open to foreign nationals, non-resident Indians and Indian nationals supported by NRI relatives.
Candidates can apply under either of the two categories but not both. In case a candidate applies under both the categories, the application will be processed under the General category only. Change of category will not be permitted.
Admission Procedure
Candidates are required to submit their applications forms complete in all respects, on or before May 30, 2016 to the Director (Admissions), Manipal University. (See checklist)
Applications would be processed as and when received and shortlisted candidates would be called for a group discussion & personal interview (GD & PI) of which there may be more than one rounds.
