    04. PEDAGOGY:

Architecture is a 5 year degree course, approved by the Council of Architecture, New Delhi and recognised by the AICTE. In Architectural education, the design studio lies at the heart, where learning through a well-documented pedagogical process of ‘learning by doing’ forms the primary student experience. An often-tenuous connection between academics and industry is also created since it is a practise-oriented field.
    05. COURSE OUTLINE:

The course is outlined to develop a student into a fully equipped and trained Architect set to face the challenges towards a healthy infrastructural development of the nation.
    06. ACADEMIC INDUSTRY INTERFACE:

Organisational Intervention: Royal School of Architecture is associated with various organisations like ‘Indian Institute of Architects, Mumbai’ & ‘Indian Green Building Council’ , to provide a platform to the students for a healthy interaction with practising maestros of the field and associates from the industry.

Aedificatoria:An annual event by the Royal School of Architecture to enable its students to showcase their work to the architectural and non-architectural fraternity in the form of an exhibition and also interactive sessions by famous personalities from the field to broaden their vision. Noted personalities like Ar. Christopher Charles Benninger, Ar. Yatin Pandya, Ar. Brinda Somaya, Ar. Nandini Sampat have motivated the students at different times.

Study Tour/ Documentation Trip: Rapid Globalisation is resulting into an extinction of our Heritage, thus making it a responsibility of every architect to safeguard it. As a part of our academic curriculum, an annual Documentation of heritage sites is materialised across the country through study tours and measured drawings.

Workshops: Regular workshops are conducted and participated in throughout the academic calendar to enhance the skills and expose the students beyond academics.

    07. LEARNING FACILITIES:

    • Design Studios: Comprises of drawing tables which enables the students of the “learning by doing” process.

    • Lecture Halls:Equipped with high end day view projection systems & interactive smart boards for highly empowered teaching & learning experiences.

Workshop:: Equipped with a workshop along with the expertise and machinery for carpentry and welding, the students are trained to gain practical knowledge byhands on training.

Model-Making Room: Equipped with machines and instruments to enable students to convert their imagination into a product

Computer Lab:Equipped with high end computers with applicable softwares to enable students to convert their imagination into a virtual reality

Computer Lab:Equipped with a high tech lab with gadgets to measure various weathering conditions like Sun Dials, Weather Station, Barometer, Solarimeter etc.

Material Museum:Equipped with the latest building materials in the market to keep the students updated.
