- II) POST GRADUATE DEGREE COURSES
Post each Courses (MD and MS) has commenced in the year 2013 and of three years duration. Each year, there are five (05) seats in diffferent disciplines. All are permitted seats from Medical Council of India and are affiliated to Tripura University. The seats are as follows: General Medicine 02 seats, Otorhinolaryngology 01, Pathology 01 and Pharmacology 01.
All are MD courses except Otolaryngology which is a MS seat. The course begins with a short foundation course on Research Methodology for exposure of the trainee in conducting the thesis work during their Post Graduate tenure as well as for any research work in their future life.
The post graduate trainees are well trained in the departments under the guidance of their respective guide, co-guide and other faculties of the departments. A high quality thesis work has to be conducted by the post graduate trainee during the tenure to submit for the partial fulfillment of their postgraduate degree courses. They have to attend various conferences, workshops, seminars and continuing medical education programmes (CMEs) in and outside the state not only to gather their knowledge but also to present their appreciable research work. All these are as per the guidelines of the Medical Council of India.
