    GAIMS has been offering the M.B.B.S. Course since the academic year 2009-10.

    The MCI & Govt. of India, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, have granted the Final Recognition to GAIMS on June 16, 2014 for admission to 150 students in MBBS Course.(http://www.mciindia.org/)

    GAIMS is affiliated to the KSKV Kachchh University (http://kskvku.digitaluniversity.ac/), and follows the curriculum as prescribed by the Medical Council of India.

    The study period of 5 ½ years is divided into four phases as under:

    Semesters are of six months duration each during I / II / III M.B.B.S. {Part I & II} and Internship training is distributed in Medicine & allied branches, Surgery & allied branches, Obstetrics & Gynecology and Community Medicine.

    i) Dermatology and Sexually Transmitted Diseases.
    ii) Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases.
    iii) Radio-Diagnosis.
    iv) Forensic Medicine
    v) Blood Bank
    vi) Psychiatry

    Note: Structure internship with college assessment at the end of the internship.

    Elective Posting
    Elective Subject:-
    Elective posting will include Two of the following for 15 days in each subject.
    1. Dermatology and Sexually Transmitted Diseases.
    2. Psychiatry
    3. Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases
    4. Anesthesia
    5. Radio-diagnosis
    6. Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
    7. Forensic Medicine and Toxicology
    8. Blood Bank and Transfusion Department.

    Note: Structure internship with college assessment at the end of the internship.

    Each semester comprises of approximately 120 days of teaching with 8 ½ hours of teaching work. Examinations are taken at the completion of the respective terms and ward postings throughout the course of study. Preliminary examinations based upon the pattern of the respective university examination for I / II / III {Part I & II} M.B.B.S. are taken before the University examination. As per the current guidelines of the Medical Council of India (MCI) , minimum 75 % attendance and 35 % marks are required to be eligible to appear at the University examination.Minimum passing marks in all Internal, Preliminary and University Examination are 50%.


    On successful completion of internship, the degree of M.B.B.S. will be awarded by KSKV Kachchh University.
