  • Relevance of B.Com: The Programme is designed to develop business acumen namely finance, entrepreneurship and understanding of the work culture. It is a separate discipline which has become popular in every day parlance, as it offers a platform for Trade and Industry, Banking services, Insurance and BPO Sector. Hence there is an increasing need of such graduates in industry, trade and service sectors.

    Duration & Course Structure of the Programme: Duration of the programme is 3 years and the subjects offered during the programme are:

    Note:

        The third year students are offered four papers & two optional groups. All four papers are compulsory and out of five optional groups they can choose any one group.
        The students in the final year of B.Com are also required to pass the Viva-Voce examination.
        The medium of instruction in B.Com will be English.


    Admission Procedure:
    Eligibility for B.Com: Intermediate from any board or any other equivalent examination of Arts, Science & Commerce etc.
    Admission:

        The college prospectus containing the admission form shall be available from the Administrative Block of College at 620, W-Block, Saket Nagar, Kanpur-208014 on the payment of Rs. 200 in cash (non-refundable).
        Self-attested photocopies countersigned by parents/guardians, of all the previous marksheets, original copies of migration & transfer certificates must be attached with the admission form. Two passport size photographs & three self addressed inland letters are to be submitted with the admission form.
        The admission to B.Com programme is based on. The marks obtained in Class XII examination.
        Admission will be on the merit basis and shall be subject to the approval of the admission committee which will examine the candidate on the basis of his/her overall performance, personality and conduct. Merit list shall be displayed on the notice board of the college on 6th July, 2012.
        Last date for admission in B.Com II &  B.Com III  is 20th July, 2012 on the basis of past performance, attendance and satisfactory behaviour during the previous year in the college. Admission in these classes will start from 27th June, 2012.
        All those students who failed in B.Com I, II and III year will not be given admission in the college again.
        The Director of the college is authorised to revise or change the admission procedure.
        The decision of the Director regarding admission shall be final and he has the right to cancel any admission.





    Relevance of B.A.: There are immense openings in Humanities & Social Sciences, which are listed in the Dictionary of Careers (Government of India) like Law, Media, Counselling, Curators Art Preservation, Hospitality, Languages, and Public Relations etc. In modern parlance all problems are approached systematically i.e. from the view points of Economics, Psychology, Finance, Politics etc. Humanities and Social Sciences also provides a good base for many competitive examinations like Civil Services, MBA, Judicial Services, National Institute of Design to name a few. Hardcore academics (teaching, research, academic projects) have proved their worth unquestionably.

    Duration & Course Structure of the Programme: Duration of the programme is 3 years. Candidates applying for admission in B.A. classes are required to choose three subjects for their study in I & II year and in III year any two subjects out of the three subjects opted in the I & II year.     Internal Assessment: The internal assessment process is a flexible combination of internal examinations, group and individual assignments, presentations and practical work. Assessment is performed at the end of each semester and 30% marks are based on internal assessment.

    Teaching Methodology: The programme utilizes a variety of teaching & learning styles. The knowledge content is covered through lectures, tutorials, workshops, practical work, and problem solving exercises, case studies, business games, simulation, business report writing & presentations. The students also have an opportunity to work in smaller groups.

    Admission Procedure:
    Eligibility for B.B.A: Intermediate from any board or any other equivalent examination of Arts, Science & Commerce etc. Students appearing in the Intermediate may also apply, subject to production of evidence of passing the examination at the time of admission.
    Admission:
