D.PHARMACY COURSE
D.Pharmacy course is a two year Diploma course approved by Pharmacy council of India(PCI) (www.pci.nic.in) and conducted by Board of Technical Education, Delhi. After the completion of two year academic program, the candidate has to complete mandatory 500 hours practical training in a hospital setting spread over not less than three months.
The D.Pharmacy course is after 12th science (Both maths and Biology eligible) and NIOS candidates are not eligible for the course.
After D.Pharmacy a candidate can work as a pharmacist in a Govt. hospital or a dispensary or can run his own medical store. A number of private hospitals are offering lucrative salaries to pharmacists. The pharmacists are also being employed by pharmaceutical companies as medical representatives/ territory sales officers. Some Diploma holders opt for B.pharm course and they get one year exemption in admission as they are enrolled directly to second year of B.Pharm course.
The D.Pharmacy course is highly in demand and is employment oriented course and the job opportunities are immense after the course.
