Pharmacy is the profession which is concerned with the Science of preparing medicines from natural and synthetic sources, suitable and convenient materials for distribution and use in treatment and prevention of diseaes. It embraces a knowledge of identification, selection, Pharmacological action, preservation, combination, analysis and standardization of drugs and medicines. It also includes their proper and sage distribution and use. The minimum requirement to become a registered pharmacist is Diploma in Pharmacy.
Duration : 2 years
Eligibility :
1. Pass in 10, +2 / P.D.C / Intermediate or its Equivalent / Any Degree.
2. 10, +2 / P.D.C. / Vocational group science subjects. (VHSC).
3. Any other qualification as prescribed by the pharmacy council of India.
Age : No age limit for admission into D.Pharm course.

Hospital Training : After completion of the course, the students will undertake practical training in Government Hospitals for three months after the Board Examination.

Placement can be sought in hospitals as clinical and Hospital Pharmacist. Besides can seek position in abroad as pharmacist. Immense job potential is foreseen for self employment as well.
