    M. Pharmacy course is a two year programme. This is affiliated to Osmania University. It is recognized by the Government of Andhra Pradesh and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.

    Admissions
    a)A pass at B. Pharmacy degree examination of Osmania University or any other examination recognized by Osmania University as equivalent there to and passed the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) examination.
    b)Vacancies remaining after allotment of seats to GPAT qualified candidates are open to candidates who have passed the B. Pharmacy degree examination of Osmania University or any other examination equivalent there to, with minimum 55% aggregate marks and passed the entrance examination as prescribed by Osmania University (APPGECET).

    Scope of M. Pharmacy
    The objective is to train candidates so as to develop higher competence in both general and special areas of interest to meet the industrial demands, in terms of production, research and teaching.

    Pharmaceutics

    Aim: To produce a competent pharmacist to meet the challenges of the industry in the areas: drug development, formulation and development, production activities, validation, drug regulatory affairs etc., for becoming niche in the business.

    Objectives: To develop the ability to formulate and evaluate various dosage forms, plan his/her work efficiently using the time and recourses, think and evaluate scientifically and critically.

    Pharmaceutical Chemistry

    Aim: To produce a competent pharmaceutical chemist to meet the needs of the industry and research organizations, drug discovery research, drug design, process technology etc.

    Objectives: To train the students in necessary skills involved in design of new molecules for the treatment, synthesis of drug molecules, isolate from the available sources, analytical characterization, etc.

    Pharmaceutical Analysis & Quality Assurance

    Aim: To produce a competent pharmaceutical analyst to meet the demands of the pharmaceutical industries in terms of analysis, control of materials (raw and finished), standards and compliance with regulatory bodies.

    Objectives: To develop ability to work in pharmaceutical industries on modern analytical methods, instruments, analytical method development, validation, analytical research and achieving global standards.

    Pharmacology

    Aim: To produce competent pharmacologists to meet the needs of the industry and research organizations, drug discovery research, which demands careful and critical evaluation of biological activities.

    Objectives: To train the students in the skills that are necessary for establishing drug action, mechanisms of drug action, potential pharmacological effects, toxicological effects, molecular interactions, animal health care and maintenance etc.
