- The department is established in the year 2002 with the approval of AICTE New Delhi. The nature of the programme is Full Time with the duration of 3 years and sanctioned intake of the department is 60.
The objective of the department is
1. Imparting specialized training in computer applications to meet growing needs of IT industry.

The Short term goals of the department are
1. Ensuring that all the students admitted to MCA programme are qualified in the university examinations.
2. Providing placement to all the opted students by providing soft skills, technical aptitude training and domain knowledge.
3. Improving the leadership ability thereby making the students as successful entrepreneurs.
4. Conducting various programs on personality development, add–on skills etc., on regular basis.

2. Collaborating with reputed universities for exchange of students and faculty on Technology Transfer.

5. Encouraging faculty members to undertake industrial consultation.
6. Encouraging faculty and students to undertake projects with financial assistance from funding agencies.
