- Department of Mechanical Engineering is initiated with its increasing role in design and manufacture of everything from small individual parts and devices (e.g., micro scale sensors and inkjet printer nozzles) to large systems (e.g., spacecraft and machine tools). Mechanical engineering is perhaps the broadest and most diverse of engineering disciplines.
The Laboratories in the department are recognized for the state-of-the-art laboratories and CAD/CAM facilities.The department also has workshops for training in CarpentryWelding and Machine tools.
