Civil The Department of Civil Engineering was established in the year 2013. during the The department has enough number of faculty members. They are qualified and experienced. The Department has well equipped laboratories in the fields of Surveying, Fluid Mechanics, Strength of Materials, Engineering Geology and Environmental Engineering, Geo Technical engineering, Highway engineering, concrete technology with basic equipment required for undergraduate courses. The students are also encouraged to attend workshops, conferences etc. and present papers and also for participation in other extracurricular activities like cultural events, NSS, NCC , sports and games etc. The Department also doing consultancy works in Concrete Technology, Environmental Engineering, and Geotechnical Engineering Seminars, Guest Lectures and Expert Lectures are organized periodically for the benefit of students. Students are also encouraged to participate in Technical Symposiums/paper contests conducted by various other institutions / organizations. Eminent personalities from premium institutions are invited to deliver expert lectures in various advanced topics.The major specializations within civil engineering are structural, geo-technical engineering, hydraulics & water resources, environmental, construction, transportation, etc. Career Options Civil Engineers can find job in government organizations, industries, research and teaching institutions etc. The experts say there is a high demand for experienced civil engineers in developed and developing countries.
