    Electrical & Electronics Engineering

  • Electrical & Electronics Engineering

Newton’s Institute of Science and Technology established the department of Electrical and Electronics & Engineering (EEE) a four year undergraduate programme in 2010 with an initial intake of 60 students. A Post graduate program (M. Tech) in Electrical Machines and Drives was introduced in 2011 with an intake of 18 seats.  B. Tech programme are duly approved by the AICTE and Govt. of A.P. and affiliated to JNTUK. The department of EEE is growing by leaps and bounds.

Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), deals with the engineering problems, opportunities and needs of electrical, electronics, computer, telecommunication systems and related industries. This branch provides students with a wide range of fundamental knowledge in core disciplines such as communications, control systems, signal processing, radio frequency design, micro-processors, micro-electronics, power generation and electrical machines. The discipline focuses on design and manufacture of electrical, electronic devised, computers and their component parts, as well as on the integration of components into complex systems.

    VISION:

Our goal is to provide our students with a strong theoretical foundation, practical engineering skills, experience in interpersonal communication and teamwork, and a daily emphasis on ethics, professional conduct and critical thinking.

    MISSION:

    Our mission is to provide

Top Quality education in electrical engineering at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Top Quality applied research in electrical engineering with abundant publications in the best international journals.

Top Quality professional service to industry and local community.

    Programme we offer:

During first year of engineering electrical engineering students learn about Common engineering courses like Engineering mathematics, Physics, Engineering Drawing and fundamentals of computing.

From second year they will start learning about Thermodynamics, introductory electronics, signal processing and instrumentation, signals, systems and electric networks, microelectronics, control systems, communication systems, power systems, electromagnetic systems, electrical machines, and power generation techniques. By the end of final year students can be well equipped with the understanding of working and application of electric systems and engineering. There are good opportunities for jobs in electrical engineering industry and higher education. There is lot of multidisciplinary research. On the same time good opportunities back home in industry.
