ADD- ON COURSES
The Department has conducted the following Add-on courses for the benefit of the students. The courses are being conducted by our Faculty members and from other organizations. A faculty member has completed courses in Tally ERP from APTECH. They are now designing a course that could be offered immediately after the end of first semester for all students. Since the first semester lays the fundamental accounting concepts for students, this add-on course intends to build on that—developing basic accounting skills.
Considering the value for analysts, there is another course being designed to develop data analysis abilities of students. One faculty is working on developing a course on Statistics and SPSS. While SPSS is already a part of the laboratory curriculum, the coverage of topics is limited. This add-on course intends to bring in more application orientation of the quantitative techniques students learn in class.
There is a separate facility for delivering these add-on courses. It is connected to the department library; and has a white-board for instruction and ten-computers with headsets for practice.
