M.Tech in Power & Industrial Drives is a two years Post Graduation course in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. This program is approved by AICTE, New Delhi, and Government of Andhra Pradesh and is affiliated to JNTU, Kakinada with an intake of 18 since 2012. The scope of power electronic controllers has been widened due to the developments of advanced topologies of electrical machines. This has contributed to further developments in the field of Electrical Engineering. Therefore, taking all the above mentioned developments and changes into account a post graduate (PG) program in Electrical Engineering has been introduced in the department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. This Post Graduate program focuses mainly on imparting theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of power electronics and its applications to electrical machines, drives, industrial equipments, and power systems. Special Emphasis on design, modeling and analysis of conventional and advanced electrical machines is also given in this program.
