- Electonics & Telecommunication Engineering Electronics and Communication engineering is an emerging area which includes mobile phones to fibre optics and remote sensing. With technology becoming all pervasive, opportunities in electronics are enormous. This highly popular program trains students in broad areas of Micro electronics, Embedded Systems, Communication Engineering / Networking, Digital Signal Processing, Fiber Optics and Medical Electronics. Electronic Communication Engineering is under constant flux, finding applications in all human endeavors. The focus in the study programme is on understanding electronic networks and devices, electromagnetic field theory, computer fundamentals, as also their protection, and communication and control systems. Design, fabricate, maintain, supervise, and manufacture electronic equipments used in the entertainment media, in hospitals, in the computer industry for communication and in defense. Electronics engineers work with devices that use extremely small amounts of power. They work with microprocessors, fibre optics in telecommunication, television, and radio fields. The program is challenging, the curriculum is rigorous & the selection procedure is highly competitive.
