To provide quality, state-of-the art technical education that satisfies the nations requirement of excellent technical manpower in the ever-changing field of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering.
To improve continually our teaching- learning process, create stimulating environment and enhance research activities in Electronics and Telecommunication engineering field to satisfy needs of students, industries and society and establish as centre of excellence.
The Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering was established in 1983. It offers 8 semester degree course with an approved intake capacity of 120 students and P.G. course, M.E.(Digital Electronics) with intake of 18 students. Presently 15 seats have been allocated for research scholars for pursuing Ph.D. in the department. The department has been accredited twice by National Board of Accreditation for its academic excellence and certified by ISO:2000 for its strict adherence to quality of technical education. It regularly conducts training programmes, workshops, and seminars for benefit of teaching, supporting staff and students.
It has highly qualified, research oriented and experienced faculty with 6 PhD holders, greater than 170 research publications and 6 patents filed by faculty. The average experience of faculty is greater than 15 years.
The department has excellent infrastructure with 12 laboratories having equipment worth about Rs. 200 Lacs. It includes state-of-art facilities like Vector Network Analyzer, VLSI Based Advanced Digital Communication Training System, CDMA / FHSS trainer kit, Mobile Handset Trainer, GSM trainer kit, Universal Calibrator, TI-TIVA microcontroller kits, ARM LPC 2148 kits, Beagle boards (based on OMAP processor), LABVIEW software with DAQ hardware, Altera & Xilinx VHDL Synthesis and Simulation software VLSI CPLD/FPGA kits, Texas Instruments DSP kits, MATLAB & its toolboxes, Fibre optical communication kits, OrCAD P-SPICE & Layout software for circuit simulation and PCB artwork design, Antenna laboratory, Microstrip system trainer, Commercial quality PCB manufacturing facility, AVR micro-controller kits, 89C51 trainer kits and MCS-51 C Cross-compilers, etc.
