Weekend Programme for
Working Executives, Entrepreneurs and Family Managed Businesses
GIM, Ribandar Campus.
The PGDM-PT program is designed to meet the career advancement aspirations of working executives and business growth objectives of family owned small and medium businesses. This program is approved by AICTE and provides the full content of a rigorous MBA program.
Conducted at the heritage Ribandar campus with classes normally scheduled on Saturdays between 4:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. and on Sundays between 9:00 a.m. and 6.30 p.m., this program also enables the students to focus on entrepreneurship and business plan development and work. The programme enables executives and managers to acquire cross-functional managerial knowledge and expertise. It is a three year weekend program.
Curriculum
During the First and Second year, the students are expected to study Core and Elective Courses spread over six terms each of approximately 15 week duration. During the third year the students pursue research work on dissertation and either a case study or work place improvement project.
The curriculum is designed to develop both conceptual and skill based competencies.
The Core Courses comprising the common body of knowledge of business management are compulsory for all students. A typical Core Curriculum is as follows:

The elective curriculum allows students to select those courses that meet their professional needs. The students can select, in consultation with the faculty, electives that will facilitate their career growth and development.
Pedagogy
A healthy blend of theory and practice, case studies, role plays, simulations and live projects ensure that skills and attitudes essential for effective managers are developed through the programme. Extensive use of information technology and ready access to several academic and professional databases facilitates the learning process at GIM. `Capstone`, a business simulation develops the students’ ability to take `integrated` decisions affecting marketing, finance, operations, human resource, TQM and R&D and to evaluate their team performance on parameters like profit, return on equity, return on sales and asset turnover.
Admissions
ELIGIBILITY:
Executives/supervisors with the zeal to advance quickly in their careers who have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least 50% marks and at least 3 years of work experience.
SELECTION CRITERIA:
Selection to the program will be based on the applicant’s overall performance in the:
Entrance Test: Valid score in any one of the following will be considered –
a. Goa State Entrance Test (Conducted by GIM in May-June 2016, under the supervision of the DTE, Government of Goa) Download Sample Questions

Interview
ADMISSIONS PROCESS:
Download the GIM application form from the website or collect the form from the PGDM PT office at the GIM Ribandar campus. Submit the completed GIM application form, along with the admission process fee (Payment of Rs. 1000/- by DD only in favour of ‘Goa Institute of Management’) and all other required documents as mentioned in the admissions form to the GIM PGDM PT office, GIM Ribandar campus.
Shortlisted candidates will be sent a call letter for the interview and selection process via email to the email address given by the candidate in the application form and will be required to attend the selection interview and process on the specified date. Selected candidates will be sent an admission offer letter via email to the email address given by the candidate on the application form. Selected candidates should indicate their acceptance of the admission offer by paying the fees on or before the stipulated date.
