Overview
University Institute of law and Management studies was initially setup as a National Law college way back in 2000 with vision of imparting legal education to young minds in the cyber city, Gurgaon. Being the university institute of national repute we offer various law program as per the UGC guidelines and meet the prescribed standards of the Bar council of India. UILMS is committed to provide students with learning opportunities by creating an intellectually stimulating environment using innovative teaching pedagogy including class room discussion on law subjects, seminars, moot courts, court visits and special events supplemented visiting lectures of attorneys, diplomats, business leaders, and policy makers. Experienced and dedicated faculty is deployed to sharpen the skills of the student and nurturing their analytical skill with overall development of the course participants. Institution provide host of facilities including computer lab, digital library, air-conditioned moot court room, A.C. Class rooms, wi-fi facility, cafeteria, indoor and outdoor sports and participation in number of cultural and life events to enjoy the basis comforts of life with quality education.
With BA.LL.B 5 year, LL.B-3 year program we also offer 2 year LLM i.e. executive research program through evening classes to produce world class academician, policy maker and develop advance level of knowledge for practicing advocates. Institute has dedicated legal aid clinic through which student organises number of legal awareness camp in rural area of the state to empower them with legal knowledge. A practicing lawyer need to have analytical research skills along with effective communication skills including both writing and oral. At UILMS we try to imbibe our students with these skills by working on assignments on social problems, essay writing completion, participation in debate; extempore and symposia, creating moot cases, drafting petition, writing diary and case comments, etc.
LL.B. (Hons.) 3 year Programme
LL.B. - 3 year Honors program in law with 120 seats has been introduced from 2014, to provide the opportunity to aspirants who wish to make their career in law. Along with this, professionals who want to achieve sound knowledge of law to overcome the litigation in their respective field can also apply for the program. In case of evening program classes are held from 5pm to 9 pm. The program is divided into six semester for which exams are generally conducted in month of December and May. During the course students are taken through different laws, process and procedures to be followed for delivery of the justice.
Admissions :
1. Candidates willing to join the LLB 3 year course need to apply online in the month of May-June through www.mdurohtak.ac.in
2. Admission will be made strictly on the basis of the merit secured in entrance test conducted by the university.
3. To be eligible for admission candidate should have passed the Bachelor degree/Master Degree Examination in any discipline or any other examination recognized by M.D. University, Rohtak as equivalent thereto by securing in the aggregate not less than 45% (40% for SC/ST candidates of Haryana) of the total marks. Candidates awaiting results of the qualifying examination can also appear for the test on condition that they produce proof of having passed the qualifying examination with the prescribed marks at the time of Counseling.
4. Reservation in seat is made as per the Haryana Government policy and university rules. Refer to reservation criteria for further details.
5. Candidate needs to be present physically during the time of counseling as per the dates notified. On being selected if candidate fail to deposit the fee in stipulated time his/her admission will stand cancelled.
6. Candidates who get compartment in any subject in the qualifying examination are not eligible for admission in that year.
