    M Tech CIVIL ENGINEERING

  • Course work Requirements

    Registration/pre-registration is done on OARS for a normal load of 16 credits each semester. Registration for underload/overload, late registration, or adding/dropping/withdrawing from a course is possible (see Section 4 of the PG Manual).
    An M.Tech. student is required to credit 8 courses, while maintaining a minimum CPI of 6.5, and a minimum of two semesters of thesis work (see Section 7.7 of the PG Manual for further details). Postgraduate cources offered by Department of Civil Engineering in general can be found here. The courses available in a perticular semster can be found in OARS. (Typically, there are some compulasory cources that can be found in the following tables. CE 602: Advanced mathematics for civil Engineers is a compulsory course for all desciplines of CE.

    A M.Tech. student may register in the summer term for up to a maximum of 8 credits and fulfill his/her credit requirements, provided he/she gets a pass/satisfactory grade in the course/thesis credits for which he/she registers and is not on leave for more than one week.
