- Department of Computer Science and Engineering offers 4 years B.Tech programme with annual intake of around 60 since the inception of NIT Manipur in the year 2010. It had already graduated 2 batches of B.Tech programme. Other than B.Tech programme the department offers 2 years M.Tech programme in Computer Science and Engineering with annual intake of around 15 and 7 research scholar are currently pursuing Doctoral Programme in Computer Science and Engineering. The departmental research is focussed in the areas of Image Processing and Computer Vision, Information Security (Cryptography, Watermarking, Steganography, Cyber Security), Artificial Intelligence & Robotics, Pattern Recognition. The department has state of the art laboratory and research facilities. The department attracts various talented students from all parts of the country. Placements for our graduates are the best sought in the Institute. Most of the Alumni are pursuing successful career in the industry and some have opted for higher studies. For further development of the department our alumni remain in constant touch with us and are contributing actively. The department has 11 experienced and sincere faculty members and 5 non faculty members.
