    Department was started in the year 2009 with an intake of 60. It has good infrastructure with respect to laboratories, faculties, class room facilities, etc.Civil engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction and maintenance of the physically built structures like bridges, roads, canals, dams and buildings etc. and also it will take care of naturally built environment. Civil engineering is the broadest of the engineering fields. Civil engineers build the world`s infrastructure. It is an age-old profession and has been defined traditionally as a great art, on which the wealth and thewell-being of the whole of society depend. OBJECTIVES Graduates will be successfully employed in engineering, science or technology careers. Graduates are assuming management or leadership roles. Graduates will engage in continual learning by pursuing advanced degrees or additional educational opportunities through coursework, professional conferences and training, or participation in professional societies. Graduates will pursue professional registration or other appropriate certifications. Graduates will be active in civic engagement.

    Students in the Civil Engineering programme should, at the time of their graduation, be able to Demonstrate basic knowledge in mathematics, science and engineering. Identify and solve technical problems pertaining to civil engineering. Analyse, design and deliver products / documents that meet customer requirements. 
    Apply the solutions to civil engineering problems in global and societal contexts. Adapt and use modern and innovative materials and practices at construction sites. Use various techniques / measures, which will be of great use to the society, during the time of crisis. Identify and perform the activities which will improve the environment and sustainability. 
    Understand and follow professional and ethical responsibilities as experts in the field of civil engineering. Function as a Project member / leader in a civil engineering or multidisciplinary project. 
    Communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms. Demonstrate knowledge of recent trends in the field of civil engineering. Exhibit skills for continuous and lifelong learning.
