About Department: 
The department has a rich tradition of teaching and research and is widely recognized to be a pioneer in Electronics and communication Engineering and is established in the year 2004 with an intake of 60 seats. Based on its track proven records of excellence it has now grown to 120 seats. 
Department has a 31 strong faculty of whom 3 are Ph.Ds , few are pursuing Ph.D. .and rest of the members are M.Tech ,B.Tech graduates .The students intake is 520 in number. Large numbers of our students have got prestigious positions in Multinational Companies. 
The lab facilities and the infrastructure are regularly upgraded and are well supported by the institute and the industry. It has the latest simulation tools to cater to various specializations and is equipped with facilities for measurement, characterization and synthesis of experimental as well as theoretical results.. 
The department is in the process of setting up Centre of Excellence in the areas of Signal Processing and Microcontroller based Intelligent Robotics and IC System Design . 
ECE department has initiated number of Sponsored and Consultancy programs and some have already been successfully completed and some are in the development phase and some and in the approval stage.
Education: 
The purpose of educational programmes in the CREC should be

• To develop in each student mastery of fundamentals, versatility of mind, motivation for learning, intellectual discipline and self-reliance which provide the best foundation for continuing professional achievement;
• To provide a liberal; as well as a professional education so that each student acquires a respect for moral values, a sense of their duties as a citizen, a feeling for taste and style, and a better human understanding. All these are required for leadership;

To send forth men and women of the highest professional competence with a breath of learning and a character to deal constructively with issues, and problems anticipated in the next decade relevant to the programmes of development of our country.
