- BASIC SCIENCE AND HUMANITIES:The Department of Basic Science and Humnanities consists of seven disciplines: English, Engineering Chemistry, Engineering Physics, Mathematics, C-programming and Date Structures (CPDS), Engineering Drawing and Information Technology Workshop.English Language Communication Skills, Advanced English Communication Skills, Chemistry and Physics laboratories are equipped with all the facilities.Literary Club of the Department organizes session to improve the soft skills, whereas the Vivekananda Institute of Human Excellence conducts a series of lectures on human values and personality development.The Department meticulously plans and executes the academic activities such as:Ist Year orientation programmeGoal setting and motivation lectures,Ecstatic, a cultural festivalRemedial classesA strong counseling systemUnit tests .The Department has a blend of experienced and expertise faculty, who impart noble values through teaching, which give the chaps a practical bent of mind to lead a peaceful and purpose life that to serve the mankind with a sense of humble touch.Objectives:To equip the students with the required technical skills according to the expectations of industryTo impart soft skills- communication, team building, problem solving, intra and inter –personal, leadership, coordination, presentation skills..etc.Healthy participation in social welfare activities.To imbibe practical learning.SOME OF HIGHLIGHTS:EXCELLENT IST YEAR RESULTS:VITS achieves a pass percentage of above 77% in the I B Tech results every year , probably it is the highest among all affiliated colleges of JNTUH.THE HINDU E-PLUS CLUB CHALLAGE:The students of VITS won Ist prize for the State Level Group Discussion event and 2nd prize for Quiz, in The Hindu E- Plus Club Challage-13 at Siddhartha Academy, Vijayawada on 4th Marach, 2013.
