Electronics & Communication Engineering

The rate of growth in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering has been unprecedented and likely to grow more and more. Being an evergreen field, it has great potential to create technocrats to cater not only locally but globally.

The Department of ECE was established in 2008 with an intake of 60 students in the UG program. The intake has been enhanced to 90 in 2009. This has been further enhanced to 120 in 2010.The Department is rated as one of the best departments in the Private Sector and is attracting top rankers in EAMCET.

MISSION

"The aim of the course is to create full-fledged Engineers in the field of Electronics & Communication Engineering with an overall back-ground suitable for making a successful career either in industry/research or higher education in India and abroad".

OBJECTIVES

To impart good technical Knowledge to the students.

To fulfill the needs of the of the society in the various fields related to Electronics & Communication Engineering.

To organize training programs/ workshops for upgrading staff performance.

To establish Industry-Institute Interaction.

To publish technical papers in National/ International journals.

FACULTY & STUDENTS

The Department has highly qualified and experienced faculty. New initiatives are being taken to improve academic performance of students. Efforts are being put to achieve good percentage of first classes and distinctions and hence placements. All the members of staff are easilly accessible to students for advice and guidance on academic matters.

The staff members are encouraged to participate in workshops, conferences, symposia and refresher courses to keep in pace with recent developments in the field of Electronics & Communication Engineering.

The faculty are well motivated and they take personal care of the students and council them at regular intervals and informs the parents/ guardians about the progress of their ward regularty. Every 15 students are mentored by an experoenced faulty member. Extra tutorial classes are conducted to take more personal care of the students. This helps the students in preparing for the semester end examinations and also aids in facing the competitive exams confidently. Personality activities Development classes are conducted weekly twice to make the students confident in attending the interviews.

The co-curricular activities among the students are encouraged. The students are equally encouraged in extra curricular activities like sports, games and other cultural activities.

The students are well disciplined and are against ragging. An anti-ragging committee comprising of faculty and students is being set up in the department.

The Department has excellent infrastructural facilities. It is equipped with spacious & ventilated class rooms and full-fledged laboratories. The laboratories established till date are:

9. Microwave and Optical Communications Laboratory.

10. Digital Signal Processing Laboratory.
