This Department had been established in 2008. From then, this department is having experienced and sincerely working faculty.

As the name, Humanities and Basic Sciences Department, implies the true function of the department. It acts as a sophisticated bridge between the new comers and the Engineering and Technological world. It transforms them from plain Science students to technological personalities by playing the role of information gives.

The Department provides the learners with the basic and profound foundations to engineering education by inculcating the principles of Engineering Physics, Engineering Chemistry, Mathematical Applications and Methods, Environmental Science, basic Communication Skills of English, Presentation and Soft Skills that help the technical students to comprehend thoroughbred the core Engineering subjects enabling them to obtain scintillating careers in their respective disciplines.

ENGLISH WING

We are broadly aware of English language in the every day affairs of modern world. If is extensive use of this language in the different fields. In fact, students are habituated to speak in their mother tongue. So they need to be trained to improve their English language and communication skills.

We have excellent communication skills lab. It will help the students improve skills in communication. And this course aims to develop the ability to speak in English fluently, accurately and appropriately. Thus they can enhance the scope of employability.

Through the multimedia language labs, the learners acquire life skills, soft skills and core skills which enable them lead a smooth running life not only as an engineer but also as a complete human being.

ENGINEERING PHYSICS

Physics is the origin of all engineering branches. All the principles learnt in physics are going to apply in different branches of engineering & technology. Engineering physics is a general term, which is intended for a particularly technological or practical use and it is distinguished from "Physics" by a subtle combination of factors such as the motivation, attitude and the nature of the relationship to the science & technology.

Engineering physics is rooted in the fundamental truths and basic concepts of the physical sciences but is concerned with the utilization of these scientific principles in practical devices and systems. The Department of Engineering Physics brings the student into contact with activity in several technical subjects like Optics, circuit analysis, electronic devices and circuits, electromagnetic fields etc.

The Department deals with mainly Optics, solid state physics, semi conductors, super conductors, LASERS and Nano Science& Technologies, which drives the students to the technical areas as mentioned above.
