  • ECE (Electronics and Communication Engineering) The Department will be the center of Excellence in Training and research in Electronics and Communication Engineering to meet the present and future needs of society with human face. To cope with the vast changing arena in the filed of Electronics and Communications Engineering and to cater to the needs of under graduate curriculum, the Management is judicious enough to appoint the faculty with varied specializations. The enormous and ever increasing demand for this branch of engineering has made it grow by leaps and bounds since its inception in 1980. To utilize the existing facilities in the department, another branch of equal demand INSTRUMENTATION & CONTROLS ENGINEERING, ICE was started in 2002 and is attached to ECE. The faculty have actively been engaged in enlarging the mental horizons of the students and also contributing technical papers to the reputed national and international journals. The faculty are enthusiastic over participating in Refresher courses, Quality Improvement Programmes and Presenting papers in seminars Laboratories The field of Electronics and Communications has become an integral part of today technology in various fields. Hence the department has to provide enhanced and focused training to prepare the young engineer to contribute to the developments in these fields. The laboratories of the department are well equipped with all facilities and ensure studentsexposure to their best in laboratory training. The department has the following well-equipped laboratories: ELECTRONIC DEVICES AND CIRCUITS LAB The journey of a fresher into the world of Electronics begins here... In this laboratory, the student will have an opportunity to study the characteristics and behavior of various components such as diodes, BJT, FET, SCR, UJT etc.., experimentally. After studying the characteristics of various components the student can able to design some circuits starting from simple circuits like rectifiers, regulators to complicated circuits like amplifiers, oscillators etc... Psipce Simulating Software For 60 PCs Communications Lab: The laboratory provides an opportunity for the students to practically know various kinds of signals and can experimentally convert those signals in to the form suitable for transmission through various media, also can retrieve back the original signals from those converted signals. In the first stage experimental work will be done on analog signals and on digital signals in the next stage. In this laboratory student has an opportunity to learn how to program a microprocessor directly using machine code. With this knowledge of programming student can not only design simple programs for computational tasks but also they can design some complex program to control various external devices such as stepper motor, elevator, traffic light system etc. The laboratory is well equipped and has a capacity to handle 12 batches at a time with each batch consisting of 3 students.
