Civil engineering is the broadest of all the engineering fields and a civil engineer has the key role in building the nation and its economy. Therefore, GITAMW started the Civil Engineering Department in the year 2009 with an intake of 60 students and developing itself as one of the finest centers of advanced research and training in the field of civil engineering in the region. The department of civil engineering aims to provide outstanding engineering education with a strong, broad-based, engineering education which gives themthe basic intellectual and organization skills that allow them to work with complex system with technological, social and environmental components. In the process, the department has established Strength of Materials Lab, Surveying Lab, Fluid Mechanics and Hydraulics Machinery Lab
