Department of Civil Engineering is headed by Prof. A.Gopala Krishnaiah who has rich experience as a Teacher, Researcher and Field engineer spanning over a period of more than 4 decades. The department has fully established Laboratories with latest equipment and is offering Consultancy Services both in design and testing various Construction materials earning revenue of Rs. 10 lakhs per annum.
All the Faculty including two doctorates are well experienced. Some are actively doing research and Publishing papers both in Journals and Conferences. During the last 3 years, the department organized Seminars and Workshops for the benefit of both faculty and students. Students are constantly trained through Group discussions, Quizzes etc. for improving their communication skill.
Our students presented papers at various Engineering Colleges in the state and outside including IITs and won prizes. The Final year students won 4th prize out of 5 prizes in International paper contest conducted by American Concrete Institute, New York (USA).
