The Department of CSE has well qualified and experienced faculty. Excellent computing facilities are available in CSE Department. The Department is headed by Dr. D. Haritha having 24 years of teaching experience. She obtained doctorate from University of Hyderabad. The faculty are actively involved in promoting research work in the department. The department conducted an International Conference on Networks and Cyber Security, ICNCS 2012. The Department is more focused in conducting workshops on Ethical Hacking and Cyber Security, Image Processing and Computer Vision, Android Mobile Application Development, PHP Programming, HTML5, PERL and Python Scripting etc., with an objective of providing better career opportunities to the students and makes them industry ready professionals.
The CSE department is also providing in-house training for GATE and the various professional certification courses like MCSE, SCJP, OCP etc. The department is instrumental in providing career oriented training in technologies .NET, J2EE Struts, Hibernate, J2ME etc. in association with corporate companies that enables the students to do real time projects in the campus itself.
Under the banner of "CSI student chapter,SRKIT" many technical activities are being organized by the students. In CSE department the students are actively involved for the last one year in testing activities of World Desk`s "World Desk for Enterprise" solution. The department is focusing on doing the real time projects like NATGRID by the third year students of B.Tech. AP State Skill Development Center was established to promote various skill development trainings for the faculty and the students of the Department. 53 students developed various Mobile Application development projects in the year 2014-15.
The CSE Department Labs are facilitated with the state-of-art technologies like IBM Blade Server. Microsoft Campus agreement volume license and latest application software including IBM Rational Suite, SPSS, IBM Clementine, Informatica, Visual Basic, Visual Studio, Oracle and also the designing software like Adobe Photoshop.
The alumni of CSE department are well placed with top MNCs like TCS, Infosys, CTS, Virtusa, Cisco, Syntel, Tech Mahindra, Genpact, Mphasis and Wipro etc.. Good number of passed out students are doing Post Graduation programs in Abroad
