- About Department : The CIVIL Engineering the oldest in the field of technology has been started at this institute in the year 2009 and as on now the department has been sanctioned an intake of 180 at the UG level and the PG courses in the area of Structural Engineering specialization has also been introduced. No effort shall be spared to mould the students in making them more fit to the challenges world wide, environment of the research and to shape them as slip-proof technocrats by all means. The outstanding personalities in the fields of various branches of CIVIL Engineering have been drawn to elucidate the students the recent trends, developments in the field of construction, practices, foundation technology, Durability aspect of structures etc. The department aims at not only making the students the BOOK-WARMS but also takes pains for their overall growth especially in the very vital areas like interpersonal skills, oration, written English and group discussions etc. Vision : The department of CIVIL Engg. is committed to achieve highest level of academic excellence through faculty student participation by encouraging innovative thoughts related to instruction, consultancy, extension academic activities, conduct of workshops, seminars, promotion of academic commercial ventures to sponsor to make the student fraternity fit to the global challenges in the field of CIVIL Engineering. Mission : To make necessary changes in the curriculum to meet the emerging trends & technical scenario from to time in the field of CIVIL Engg. To evaluate from time to time the standards & requirement of the infrastructure, the Instructional methodology so that the curricular, extra-curricular and co-curricular activities would be strengthened & updated to the core to establish a student friendly environment merely by congenial academic atmosphere and result oriented work profile. To take care of all the contingental needs to broaden the standards of the students beyond regimented class work atmosphere. To establish the consultancy centers and make students along with the faculty a part of it. To design the industry-Institute interaction in an appropriate way aimed at suitable placement of the students in the core area. To make the students of the institution fit & stand in the peak competition, training programmes imparting soft skills, personality development etc. are provided and the similar programmes will be further intensified in future. Academics : The UG program is well designed so as to make the students to take up their PG programme any where either in India or abroad. The curriculam of CIVIL Engg.
