The department`s mission is to advance, evolve and enhance Computer Science and Software Engineering fundamentals to build the intellectual capital of research and students. The CSE Department Endeavour’s to be an important regional, national, and international resource center for the development of Computing, IT and Software systems and applications.
CSE shares the mission and vision of the institute in imparting high quality education to the students.
The Department has the state-of-the-art facilities for various laboratories, a well equipped seminar hall, class rooms and a library.

The Computer Science and Engineering Department is committed to:- Teaching the necessary skills, theories and practices of computer hardware and software.
- We help the students to learn critical thinking skills and how to combine scientific knowledge and engineering methods with practical technical skills to prepare them for the challenging careers.
- To undertake research in computing and information technology, and to serve the community and the profession.
- To provide Research and Development Activities in collaboration with R&D organizations, industries and make the department as a centre of excellence.
