Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME)
The Mechanical Engineering provides a solid foundation for professional engineering practice and further study in Mechanical Engineering or many other related fields. The major requirements develop the student’s ability to apply scientific principles in the design and analysis of mechanical and energy conversion. Mechanical engineering covers a wide variety of activities from engines, turbines, pumps and compressors, to heat exchangers and pressure vessels, to boilers and steam systems, to hydraulics and fluid flow, to dynamics and static`s, to plant and manufacturing operations, to project engineering to project management and several more.
Course duration:
The Course for the Diploma in Mechanical Engineering shall extend over a period of three academic years, consisting of 6 semesters and the first year is common to all engineering branches.
Eligibility:
For I year-10th pass with 35 per cent marks minimum required;
For II year (Lateral entry) –Passed 12th with Vocational/ Technical (or) 10th + (2 years I.T.I) with appropriate specialization.Vision:
